There are so many things to do on the computer that I don't think there is any one "best" thing to do on it, except learn to use it to make your work easier. You need to learn what is possible to do on the computer; how to use it as a "tool" so you can do your work faster, more accurately and utilize your time more effectively. Learning software programs will help you do that.
